Boxing day sales 2012 haul

Hi guys,
Sorry I didn't keep my promise on posting more Christmas gift ideas. I am no longer offering promises that I can't keep! Now that's a promise =)

So 26th December 2012 was a day to remember. My brother, mum and myself woke up at 3am in the morning to get ready, took the 4am train to the city and arrived Townhall at 4.50am. I didn't expect a huge crowd to show up, but OMG there was a line to get into myer that snaked for 100m. Security guys were everywhere, one manning every escalater and herding us like sheep! I guess they were scared a stampede might occur, which I think could have happened if they weren't there! So myer did have really great specials and offers but my mum and I just went for the quilt covers!
40% of sheridan quilt covers man!

We popped back down to ground level, where Lancome had a spin the wheel game where you can get samples or specials. My brother and I both got a 5ml sample of manfifque and my mum got a 15ml sample of a wrinkle cream. Whoop whoop!

Next we ventured into David jones! I didn't expect to buy anything from here since they just stock designer brands that are out of my budget but on the contrary I did find something special! I was trawling through a table of further reduced items and came upon a wallet which didn't appeal to me at first until I saw the brand!
Marc by Marc Jacobs!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a MARC BY MARC JACOBS Royal Purple Zip Wallet! And guess how much it was reduced to?

$90!

The original price was $225 dollars, it was then reduced down to $135 and then down to $90! So it was 60% off!!!!
I don't know why no one took it, there were no scratch marks on the outside or inside and the zippers worked perfectly! But when I started holding the wallet up to inspect it, some more women joined the table to look for some bargain items as well! I bet one or two of them was hoping that I'd put it back down so they can grab it!

Total bargain, made the effort of waking at 3am in the morning and only having 4 hours sleep very worth it! I've been wanting a nice, sturdy easy wallet for a long time and decided this boxing day I would make it a mission to get myself one! Originally I had wanted to go to Mimco to get this coco framed wallet for $89 dollars, that was until I found my love !

I love the Marc wallet because everything is so neat and tidy! There's a small zipper compartment on one side, and one for notes on the same side! The other side has the card   slots and 2 compartments to store your miscellaneous! I'm just in love!!!!!!

I also got these Miss Candy ballet flats from Peeptoe shoes! They were $89 from $179 so half price!

The crowds started getting bigger and moving around was proving too tiring and difficult so we decided to head home at 10am! I was so glad because I don't think I could stand being pushed and shoved by strangers!

Not much of a haul but I just really wanted to show off my new wallet to the world!

So I might be going to Parramatta tomorrow hopefully to find some more bargains! Anyways au revoir!

Tell me what you guys got during the boxing day sales?

Sinful Colour Frenzy + Revlon Lilac Pastelle

Hi all!
I've come back again for another post! It's another nail polish one! Let me make this clear, this blog isn't only going to be about nail polish. There will be reviews on products, samples, DIY projects and miscellaneous things I feel like posting. But for now I just feel like nail polish! I promise will make a post on something different next week. Okay now lets get on to it!

First is Sinful Colours Frenzy

Revlon Lilac Pastelle & Sinful Colours Frenzy on Ring finger

A close up of the glitter

Colour: Purple and Blue Glitter with clear base, glitter all small and the same size (see the close up picture above)
Coats: 2 coats of Frenzy, I think a 1-2 coats more would give more 'glitterage' (Glitter + coverage = glitterage!)
Liked: The polish has two types of glitter colours and because it has a clear base so you can apply to other nail polish colours, unlike the Sinful Colours nail junkie which had a translucent teal base
Disliked: Nothing!
Durability: had some minor chipping after a couple of days
Overall: Another great polish from sinful colours!

The second, Revlon Lilac Pastelle
Colour: Pastel purple colour that can sometimes be mistaken as pink (well that's only applicable to me)
Coats: 3 coats of Lilac Pastelle. First coat very stripy and sheer, second could still see some stripes, third coat a solid pastel colour with no stripes
Liked: What's not to like? It's pastel for god's sake!
Disliked: I had to apply 3 coats in order to get a solid colour! Took so freakin long to dry!
Durability: With 3 coats of polish it barely chipped
Overall: An okay polish, I love the colour, the brush was a medium (not thick or thin) but polish itself was just too sheer for my liking.

Okay so, I promise there will be a totally different post unrelated to nail polish next week!  And maybe another nail polish one? Okay?

See you next time!

Sinful colours Nail Junkie

So today's post will be my first review of a nail polish! Yay! I hope they'll be more to come and for you to enjoy them all! Hope that made sense cause for a moment that didn't, correct me if I'm grammatically incorrect. Sorry, I like going on tangents, my friend says I have ADD, but whatever!

Nail Junkie - Totally me!
Let's get back to what I was talking about before, NAIL POLISH! I'm a huge nail polish fan, although my collection doesn't go into the hundreds but I'll get there. So today's review is about Sinful Colours Nail Junkie my mum had purchased for me at a sale I mentioned in my previous post.

Colour:  A light blue colour with glitter (small and large)
Coats: 2 coats. This is a very sheer glitter polish, I had 2 coats on and you could still see my nails underneath. Maybe 1 or 2 more coats would cover them. Or as I would suggest have a coat of coloured nail polish underneath, preferable a similar colour
Liked: The very unique colour. This colour reminded me of of Cinderalla's dress

This picture was found on http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdvn0hfEqg1rncdgao2_500.gif

Disliked: Like all glitter polishes, it is a pain in the butt to remove the glitter.
Durability: It began to chip a couple of days after application, but you couldn't really tell because of the sheerness of the polish.
Overall: I love this polish, for the price I paid, it is totally worth it! Yeah, it chipped but that was after a couple of days.

I don't know a Sinful colours stockist, but if you do and you come across this colour... GET IT! It would be a sin to NOT purchase this colour. See what I did there =)

Anyways, till the next post!
